Most of us seem to be in angst about New Year Resolutions. While there are a lot of our Bollywood folks who would do well to actually make and stick to their New Year resolutions, there are many who don’t really need to make one. The exceptions are quite likeable just the way they are. Thats the case for Genelia D’Souza.

Like her name, the actress is geniality personified. There is something which is extremely likeable about her and it is this quality which has endeared her to audiences. But one guesses, it’s all about timing. Genelia’s first few films, ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’, ‘Masti’, ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’ didn’t really do much for her. It was ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’, which earned her a date with destiny.

After waiting in the wings for so long, this bubbly, sunny tempered actress is finally enjoying her stay under the sun, with films like ‘Life Partner’ (already released) and ‘Hook Ya Crook’, ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Chance Pe Dance’ waiting to release. The last mentioned is a real coup for her as she has managed a film opposite Shahid Kapur, who is riding high on the success of ‘Jab We Met’ and the critical success of ‘Kaminey’.

The actress replaced Jiah Khan in the movie and was recommended by Shahid himself. Obviously, she is doing something right and so where is need for making a change. Little surprise, then that while doing interviews recently for ‘Chance Pe Dance’, Genelia answered questions on her New Year’s resolution with a ‘I don’t believe in them’ answer.
