Tibetan spiritual leader, “His Holiness” the Dalai Lama spent his evening at the cricket ground in Dharmasala for the 54th IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab. Earlier in the morning, the players of both the teams got an opportunity to visit Dalai Lama at his place and get his blessings.

Later Dalai Lama joined the Preity Zinta (owner of the Punjab team) and HPCA president Anurag Thakur at the pavilion in the evening and spent more than an hour watching the game.

The match itself was exciting with Dhoni and his team chasing the total of 192 won the match to score a six wicket victory. With 16 runs required in the last over, Captain Dhoni blasted Irfan Pathan to score 18 runs in the first 4 balls of the over.
