And, Sharmila Tagore, was among the members of the Jury which was chaired by Isabelle Huppert at that time. In 2010, several bollywood stars graced the red carpet. Mallika Sherawat, Divya Dutta and Irfan Khan promoted their movie “Hiss”. Aishwarya Rai Bachan along with her husband Abhishek Bachan and the director and producer, Mani Ratnam were also at the festival for the promotion of their movie and Deepika Padukone attended the premiere of the French movie “On Tour”
The preparations for Cannes film Festival 2011 have already started since long. It will run up from 11 to 22 May and Robert de Niro will serve as head of the jury for this year. The Bollywood dream continues with the exclusive screening of “The greatest love story ever told”, a film produced by Shekhar Kapoor.

Aishwarya, Devdas, Bollywood ...These are the names that arouse people’s curiosity and Cannes Festival is no exception. Bollywood celebrities have been walking up the red carpet since 2002. Preity Zinta attended the Cannes film Festival as the brand ambassador of Chopard, the maker of luxury watches and jewellery in 2008. “Kambakkht Ishq” with Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar as the lead casts was officially premiered in 2009.
