Jagjit Singh is an Indian ghazal singer. He sings in Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Nepali, Bengali and Gujarati languages. As a leading exponent of the art of Ghazal singing (Ghazal Gayaki), a form of Indian Classical music that he is accredited to have revived singlehandedly, Jagjit Singh needs no introduction. His unique compositions and ethereal voice have acquired him a legendary stature among millions of fans worldwide. ‘Hoton Se Choolo Tum’, ‘Tumko Dekha To Ye Khayal Aaya’, ‘Hoshwalon ko khabar kya’ and countless other all time favourites of generations of music lovers have earned the living legend the title, ‘Ghazal King’.
