Lots of Manish Malhotra ensembles were spotted on the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer-Resort red carpet, courtesy the Bollywood studded front row at his 100 years of Indian cinema show. Kajol, Parineeti Chopra, Shruti Haasan, Karishma Kapoor and Esha Gupta graced the show in neon accented creations while Priyanka Chopra walked the ramp for the designer in a chartreuse sheer sari.

Christian Louboutin also took in Malhotra’s spring confections ring-side, along with a small directors’ club of Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap.

But Masaba Gupta also had plenty of red carpet support in her corner. Shibani Dandekar picked a camera print dress, Shazahn Padamsee wore tights in the new Masaba for Satya Paul lipstick print, but her saris proved more popular with Mini Mathur, Maria Goretti Warsi and model Dippanita Sharma.

Poorna Jagannathan gave us the first sighting of Shivan & Narresh’s runway-fresh autumn/winter 2013 collection – a white sheath with a printed yoke — on the red carpet. Shruti Haasan however looked to a previous collection and picked out a colour-blocked dress to watch the duo’s LFW showing.

Also spotted: Anaita Shroff Adajania, Hema Malini, Sona Mohapatra and Udita Goswami in monochrome saris, Shriya Saran, Sophie Choudry, Sabina Chopra, Asha Bhonsle, Rhea Kapoor in Anamika Khanna and Natasha Poonawala in a sci-fi Paco Rabanne (from when Manish Arora was at the brand’s helm).
